Chang Gung University of Science and Technology (CGUST) was founded by Mr. Yong-Ching Wang who had foreseen the growing demand for high-quality medical personnel in 1983 by the name of Ming Chi College of Technology. In  August 2011, the college transitioned into Chang Gung University of Science and Technology (CGUST). CGUST has set up three colleges, three graduate programs, six departments and four centers. The cooperation between JSMC and CGUST started from 2014. Upon 2020, 10 teachers and 4 grades of students had gone to CGUST for short-time study.
