In order to thoroughly implement the requirements of the Jiangsu Education Department on the prevention and control of the pandemic, maintain a safe environment for the students in the spring semester, improve the emergency response capabilities, and ensure a safe, stable and orderly homecoming, according to the arrangement of JSMC’s pandemic prevention and control working committee, on the afternoon of February 17th, a spring drill for the prevention and control of the pandemic was organized. All college leaders, members of the working group, relevant department deans and relevant personnel participated in the drill. Vice President Shi Xinghua served as the commander-in-chief of the drill.
Before the drill, leader of the working group, Party Secretary Hao Dafu gave a speech, in which he pointed out that it’s not the time to be slack in the prevention and control of the pandemic. It must be carefully planned and deployed in a unified manner, and the prevention and control measures must be implemented strictly, meticulously, and realistically. And through the drill, deficiencies could be found out, and actual capability be tested, thus a continuous improvement of the multi-department collaboration could be gained.
The drill simulated the scenarios such as student check-in, offline classes, dining in the canteen, feverish students’ diagnosis, medical observation, etc., and handles a number of abnormal situations such as abnormal health code, travel code, and temperature during the process of students entering the campus. The drill was completed successfully by staff in an orderly manner according to the established plan.
This drill further standardized the procedures in the prevention and control of the pandemic, accumulated experience for JSMC’s emergency response, enhanced the prevention awareness, and would effectively guaranteed the lives and safety of all teachers and students.
