On the morning of March 2nd, Mr. Chen Juheng, representative of the Malta Ministry of Education, the founder of the Maltese Chinese Association, paid a visit to JSMC. President Chen Guozhong and Vice President Gao Cuixang, deans of the Office of International Cooperation & Communication and other relevant departments attended the meeting and conducted in-depth discussions on exchanges and cooperation between JSMC and Maltese universities and colleges.
At the meeting, President Chen Guozhong delivered a welcome speech on behalf of JSMC’s staff, and briefly introduced the history and recent development of Yancheng and the college itself. He also expressed the vision of establishing comprehensive cooperation with Malta in multiple fields. Mr. Chen Juheng expressed the Chinese New Year greetings from the Malta Ministry of Education and thoroughly explained the fields and forms of cooperation between the Malta government and the universities in China. Deans of the Nursing School and the Rehabilitation School respectively discussed with Mr. Chen Juheng on issues including teachers’ further education, short-term and long-term exchanges of teachers and students, and courses localization. In the end, Vice President Gao Cuixiang gave clear guidance and opinions on the development of cooperation and exchanges and the establishment of the “Zheng He Center” in Malta.
