On the morning of November 6th, Jiangsu Vocational College of Medicine’s first congress of the Communist Youth League was successfully held in the Students’ Art Center. Zhai Dawei, secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee of Yancheng, Chen Rong, minister of the Youth Department of the Youth League Committee of Yancehng, representatives from some fraternal colleges, all college leaders of JSMC attended the congress. 110 representatives of the Youth League, including department deans, past comrades, the Dean of the Department of Students’ Affairs presented.
At the opening ceremony, Long Fang, chairwoman of the labor union of JSMC, delivered a congratulatory speech. She said that the union would still fight side by side with the JSMC’s league committee, to lead, unite and serve teachers and students at a deeper level and higher level.
Chen Xiaojin, secretary of the Youth League Committee of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, delivered a speech on behalf of the presented universities. He congratulated the conference and said that he would continue to work together with the League of JSMC to strengthen the friendship between the two, and jointly promote the reform and innovation of the League’s work through exchanges.
Zhai Dawei, secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee of Yancheng, delivered a speech on behalf of the city’s Youth League. He fully affirmed the achievements made by the Communist Youth League of JSMC in recent years, placed high expectations to the students, and gave clear requirements for the future work: To continue deepening the requirements of talent cultivation through comprehensively strengthening of the League’s work; To strengthen the construction of grassroot level League organizations; To refine the college’s service for growth and talent training.
Hao Dafu, Party Secretary of JSMC, extended sincere greetings to all league cadres presented and students of JSMC, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the superior organizations and leaders at all levels who have cared and supported the development of JSMC. He said that the time of the Congress is special and of great significance. He hoped the League’s work of JSMC can be put forward under three specific requirements: to stick to the belief of socialism with Chinese characteristics; to develop excellent skills and act as an activist; to shoulder the current important task and be a hard-working person.
In the second stage of the congress, Liu Yang, secretary of the Youth League Committee of JSMC, delivered a work report entitled “Devote the Youth to the Party, and Make Contribution to the New Era”, which summarized the work of the Youth League of JSMC in recent three years. The congress reviewed and passed the “Methods for the Election of the First Congress of the Communist Youth League Jiangsu Vocational College of Medicine”, and elected 15 members of the first committee of the Communist Youth League Jiangsu Vocational College of Medicine.
At the closing ceremony of the congress, the election results and the proposal “Raise the League Flag and Follow the Party, Work Hard and Be Courageous” were announced.
Vice President Wang Hui made a concluding speech. He encouraged the cadres of the Communist Youth League members and hoped that the new committee will perform its duties and contribute to the achievement of JSMC’s high-quality development goals.
As an important gathering of the youth of JSMC, which coincided with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC and the 80th anniversary of the founding of JSMC, the congress was an opportunity for youths to seize the rare historical opportunity to make contributions and earnestly take leaderships as the responsibility. Under the strong leadership, the youths would definitely add the most determined and progressive youth force to the building and the high-quality development of JSMC.
