On the afternoon of March 1st, Cao Lubao, Mayor of Yancheng, Deputy Mayor Li Yihao, and Secretary-General Guo Yusheng led a team consisted of the deans of relevant departments of the city government to the Jianjun Campus of JSMC to investigate the construction and development of the college. Party Secretary Hao Dafu, President Chen Guozhong and all the Party Committee members accompanied.
Mayor Cao Lubao visited the Jianjun Campus’s time-honored teaching buildings, student dormitories and other facilities, and learned about the JSMC’s long history with the New Fourth Army and the revolutionary spirits deep in her genes. After the visit, they held an exchange discussion in the conference room of the Rehabilitation School.
During the discussion, Party Secretary Hao Dafu first expressed his gratitude to Mayor Cao Lubao for coming to investigate on behalf of the college. He pointed out that JSMC has achieved fruitful results in medical and health services, including talents cultivation, specialties construction, scientific research and innovation. In the next step, JSMC would overcome difficulties with the support of the government to speed up the constructing paces, and vigorously pursue the goal of constructing an application-oriented medical college. President Chen Guozhong reported the school running situation and noted the bottlenecks which had put restriction on JSMC’s development, and earnestly requested the government to lend a helping hand.
After the reports from Party Secretary Hao Dafu and President Chen Guozhong, Mayor Cao Lubao congratulated the college for its excellent schooling performance and conducted some of the specific issues faced by JSMC immediately. He promised that the government would continue to support the development of JSMC, actively seek ways to solve the problems, and contribute to the integration of the college and the city to make greater contributions to the development of the city.
